The Jazz Series paintings are an unusual format: they measure 12 x 12", the size of an old album cover; but they are 1.5" deep, so they stand proud of the wall.  The paintings continue around the sides, making them an interesting compositional challenge.  The composition changes depending on where you stand relative to the painting.  To illustrate this I've shot two of the paintings from an angle -- click on the thumbnail to see a larger image.
